Lake Tulloch Quilters Guild 2018
Once again the “Help the Armory” pancake breakfast fundraiser hosted the Lake Tulloch Quilters Guild on June 9th. Once again the “Challenge Quilts” competition provided entry’s from the groups premier quilters. The theme was for “Animals” and all were excellent. First place was taken by Dorothy Johnson (for the second year in a row) showing a quilt with an Indian motif.
In attendance were Marie Pierce (Pres.), Teri Brolin (V.P.), Diane Jackson (Trea.), Dorothy Johnson (Sec.), Carolyn Farrell, Joyce Fowler, Joyce Barns, Linda Bennett, Angeles Hermanson, and Pat Hopper. Fran Schafstall won the drawing for the beautiful quilt seen behind the group photo. It was obvious the ladies knew there stuff, from all the quilts hanging from the ceiling and walls. A true site to behold all the artistry represented.
The quilters meet every Tuesday (except Holidays) from 1-4pm at the Black Creek Center facility. Members provide their own drinks and food. Teri Brolin commented, “It is a great event for socializing. Lots of jokes and fun. Comprised of beginners to advanced quilters and with lots of training for beginners from the advanced people.”
Quilters are special, they work and sew
Their design is unique, only they know
A slightly crooked stitch will bring on the guilt
Then it springs to life as a beautiful Quilt
